A new cluster called GeoNet.MRN has recently been established in the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan region. Having its main focus on the surplus values of geodata, which have become an essential part of everyday life be it with regard to business, information, or leisure, the network aims at bridging the gap between science, business and administration. Increase of knowledge transfer, support of eceonomic development and enhancement of innovational strenght are only some of the most prominent objectives.
GeoNet.MRN will officially kick things off on 22. November 2012 in Heidelberg, where the annual conference Fachaustausch Geoinformation will be held. Further information on both the cluster and the meeting can be found here.
